Evaluation of Impact of Prescribing Safety Assessment Workshop on Medical Doctors Using Kirkpatrick Model

Background
 Clinical pharmacology training is a prerequisite for all medical graduates. Prescription writing errors are not infrequent at primary health care level leading to threat patient safety. Prescribers lacks uniform structured and assessment which one of the major factors this situation across country. In lots institutions despite proper curriculum, learners lack interest because subject importance insignificant. Hence bring more in prescribers there dire need innovative interesting methods teaching assessment, prescribing safety (PSA).
 Objectives
 
 To assess if PSA superior method prescription than CPW
 evaluate workshop on using guidelines Kirkpatrick Model
 Methods
 It was an experimental study. 44 doctors participated; pre-test taken 01 week before workshop. Afterwards, they were randomized into 02 groups, group A went through B followed conventional (CPW) 01-day At end, post-test from both groups. The qualitative data also collected participants feedback proforma consisting few closed ended questions Likert scale.
 Results
 independent t-test used compare as it normal distribution. Posttest performance significantly increased P ˂ 0.001 compared CPW. Reaction 13 scale showed high satisfaction 4.32 4.84 5 points satisfaction.
 Conclusion
 effective strategy learning clinical pharmacology. study objectively proves its effectiveness comparison CPW provides guideline implement useful tool assessment.
